Test of Interactive English 

 

The Test of Interactive English (TIE) examination is an English test designed by ACELS. It is recognized across Ireland and Europe, and is being integrated into  English classes at ISI Ireland

The test is task-based, requiring each candidate to carry out a number of pre-specified tasks prior to taking the test. Assessment if given according to the Council of Europe's Common Framework Scale of Language Proficiency.

The test is offered in two formats:

 

  • The Junior TIE: for English language learners of 12- 18 years old
  • The TIE: for English language learners of 18+ (post secondary)



The test is held at a number of times during the year. If you are interested in taking this test, please come and speak to ISI Ireland’s senior academic staff.
