Proverb of the week - If at First You Don’t Succeed, Try, Try Again

If at First You Don’t Succeed, Try, Try Again
(persevere until you reach your goal)

- You know, if anybody deserves a medal for valiant effort and accomplishment, it’s Joanna. I remember when she went back to running the hurdles after her accident/ In spite of the pain she suffered from her injuries, she kept on exercising until she was able to run again.
- I agree. Joanna is a living example of the proverb: If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
- That’s true. She would not allow herself to accept defeat. During the course of her recovery, she often stumbled and fell and many people thought she would never be able to run again. But Joanna fooled them all! She kept working until she achieved her goal. What a gal!
