Tuesday 3rd August : Ice Cream and Ice Breakers - Come meet other ISI students AND enjoy FREE ice cream at this “ice cream and ice breakers” party. We will eat ice cream and candy and play get-to-know-you ice breaker games. This is a great way to meet other international students and take a break before or after class. - 4:30 PM ISI Canteen
Tuesday 3rd August : Rathfarnham Castle - Just a short bus ride from ISI! Rathfarnham Castle is one of the top tourist attractions of Dublin in Ireland. The date of the foundation of the castle is uncertain but research would suggest 1583. Visitors to the castle can view 18th century interiors by Sir William Chambers and James ‘Athenian’ Stewart. - 2 PM Meet in ISI Lobby
Wednesday 4th August : Wild Wicklow Tour - Explore one of the most famous and enchanting places in Ireland, Glendalough. The spectacular hidden mountains and barren boglands at Sally’s Gap will leave you breathless. Winner of Tourism Business Millennium Award: voted the number one tour worldwide in 2009. - 12:15 PM Wait in front of ISI for private tour bus
Thursday 5th August : Trim Castle tour - This is the stuff movies are made of. It’s no wonder that the makers of the movie ‘Braveheart’ chose Trim as the shooting location for their epic thriller. One look at Trim Castle’s stony outline against a dramatic Irish sky and storybook images of valiant warriors and timid monks spring to life. - 1 PM Meet in ISI Lobby
Thursday 5th August : Riverdance at the Gaiety Theatre - Of all the performances to emerge from Ireland in the past decade - in rock, music, theatre and film - nothing has carried the energy, the sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance. Give money to reception IMMEDIATELY to secure your spot. You must pay by Monday of this week! - 7:30 PM Meet at theatre, MUST pay Erin before Thursday!
Friday 6th August : ISI Talent Show! - Share your talents with your friends and teachers at ISI! St. Mary’s Abbey is opening specially for this summer’s FIRST TALENT SHOW. Sign up in groups or as a solo act before this Friday. Contestants can: sing a song, do a traditional dance, read a poem, or put on a skit! Signup sheets will be posted around school or you can ask Jennifer for more information. - 4:30 PM in Mary’s Abbey
