Proverb of the week - Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire
Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire
(when there is evidence of a problem, there probably is a problem)
When the night watchman started on his routine patrol of the premises, he noticed that the door of one of the buildings was ajar. Since the building was located in a security area, he immediately jumped to the conclusion that where there’s smoke, there’s a fire. The doors of all the buildings were supposed to be tightly secured after working hours, and the night watchman had been trained to think that if there is evidence of a problem, there probably is a problem.
