Proverb of the week - Don’t Cry Over Spilt Milk

Don’t Cry Over Spilt Milk
(don’t grieve about having done something that cannot de undone)

- Lois, why are you so upset?
- Oh, Andy, I’m glad you’re back. I don’t know what to do. I was cleaning the house and I knocked over the crystal vase we received as a wedding gift from your folks. It fell to the floor and shattered.
- Come on, now. Don’t cry over spilt milk.
- But I can’t help being upset. That vase had a lot of sentimental value for both of us.
- Relax. It can be replaced. Mom and Dad will understand. It won’t be any good to keep crying about something that can’t be undone. Let’s go out for dinner. I’m sure you’ll feel better once you get away from the house.
- You’re probably right. Thanks, honey.
