Hop on the 42 bus and head to the pretty seaside town of Malahide on the north side of the city.

Walk along the beach to Portmarnock, stroll down to the Marina or sip a coffee in one of the boutique coffee shops. While there visit Malahide Castle, which is set on 250 acres of park land, the Castle was both a fortress and a private home for nearly eight hundred years.
